Dr Seward is a consultant psychiatrist working in a combination of public and private practice for over 25 years.
Dr Seward has a largely medico-legal practice and specialises in general adult psychiatry and psychotherapy. Medico-legal work includes independent medico-legal assessments for the Transport Accident Commission and WorkCover claims as well as a variety of other independent assessments including the Wrongs Act.
Dr Seward is a member of Medical Panels.
Dr Seward has a public hospital appointment with the Alfred Hospital in the Consultation/Liaison service and has worked on the Renal Unit for over 20 years. This work involves assessing and treating renal patients and in particular involves the psychiatric assessment of living donor dyads for the Alfred Live Donor Kidney Transplant Program.
Dr Seward has recently become a foundation Accredited Member of the Faculty of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry in 2015 and was elected a Member of the Faculty of Psychiatry of Old Age in 1999.
